Client need
City of Doncaster Council is undertaking a number of highways projects in the Doncaster region, partnering with Eurovia.
Eurovia needed a project quantity surveyor for the Doncaster Quality Streets P2 project, which involves upgrading the city’s streets and sidewalks, and the Doncaster iPort bridge, which involves building a new road and bridge for access to a new housing development.
To effectively manage Eurovia’s position on the projects from a business perspective, the projects required a qualified quantity surveyor who had a solid understanding of the NEC form of contract.

- Contract and commercial management.

- Ensuring that the main contract was properly administered, including timely issue of early warnings and compensation event assessments.
- Providing reports on actual costs v estimate and identifying underlying reasons for any variance and resolutions, in particular highlighting, challenging and resolving variance to latest plans.
- Managing the application for payment process, including cash flow management.
- Leading the management and dissemination of contractual arrangements, risks, and issues to all project team members (including site staff).
- Managing a team of quantity surveyors.
