CappKind is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to support our client on a major infrastructure programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex pre- and post-contract commercial activities within a high-performing client-side environment.

The role

  • Full time (40 hours per week), contract.
  • Hybrid working – site based in Dublin (3 days per week), working from home (2 days per week).
  • Initially providing client-side quantity surveying services for an airport improvement project.
  • Must have experience working in either aviation sector or general civil engineering works.
The resource(s) providing the services will
  • Have proven experience in a Senior QS / Contract Management role on major infrastructure projects.
  • Have client-side QS experience, taking responsibility for post-contract quantity surveying activities.
  • Have a degree in a construction or quantity surveying related discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (particularly Options C, D & E).
  • Preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Institution or working towards membership.
  • Have an in depth understanding and experience of contractual and commercial processes.
  • Be flexible, positive and engaging, with a desire to learn and develop through exposure to different types of clients and projects.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Be a self-motivated team player that demonstrates excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Remuneration and benefits
  • £450 per day (depending on experience / qualifications of the resources providing the services).
  • All expenses reimbursable (subsistence, flights, hotel etc).
