Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our team and provide core commercial services for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to gain experience working for a variety of clients across various sectors. There is further opportunity for progression into a management position where individuals successfully contribute to business development and wider business activities.

The role

  • Full time, permanent.
  • Based in our Leeds head office with flexible working arrangements.
  • Some travel to clients’ offices / sites required.
  • Providing core commercial services to various clients (dependent on your area of expertise).
The successful candidate will
  • Have a degree in a construction or quantity surveying related discipline.
  • Preferably be a member of a recognised professional body such as RICS or CICES.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Have an in depth understanding and experience of contractual and commercial processes.
  • Have contractor QS experience, taking full responsibility for main contract commercial management and subcontract procurement / management.
  • Have knowledge and experience in both JCT and NEC forms of contract.
  • Be client focused and able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Be a self-motivated team player that demonstrates excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Be flexible, positive and engaging, with a desire to learn and develop through exposure to different types of clients and projects.
Additionally, the successful candidate may also have
  • Experience working as a QS for end clients and/or consultants.
  • Experience working as a NEC Project Manager.
  • Attained the NEC ECC Project Manager Accreditation.
Remuneration and benefits
  • £50,000 – £65,000 salary (depending on experience/qualifications).
  • Car allowance.
