Senior Quantity Surveyor, Aviation

Remote working, with regular travel to Dublin

We are looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our team and provide core commercial services for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the commercial delivery of large-scale projects, initially within the aviation sector.

The role

  • Full time, permanent.
  • Based remotely or at our Leeds head office, with regular travel to Dublin (up to 2 days per week, reimbursed by CappKind).
  • Providing pre and post contract quantity surveying services for major aviation projects.
  • Must have experience working on airport projects, ideally including delivery of project cost plans.
The resource(s) providing the services will
  • Have a degree in a construction or quantity surveying related discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Institution or working towards membership.
  • Have experience working on aviation projects, and ideally other infrastructure projects, such as utilities, highways, rail and/or other civils projects.
  • Have an in depth understanding and experience of contractual and commercial processes.
  • Have a good working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
  • Ideally have experience undertaking pre-contract costing exercises for aviation projects.
  • Have demonstrable experience of pre and post contract cost management on infrastructure projects in excess of £5m in value.
  • Ideally have experience managing a quantity surveying team.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Be client focused and able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Be a self-motivated team player that demonstrates excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Be flexible, positive and engaging, with a desire to learn and develop through exposure to different types of clients and projects.
Remuneration and benefits
  • £50,000 – £65,000 salary (depending on experience/qualifications).
