We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and provide core commercial services for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an assistant QS to make the step up to QS, initially taking responsibly for our highways sector clients requirements. The role will expand over time to cover other wider projects for clients in the building and infrastructure sectors.

The role

  • Full time, permanent.
  • Hybrid working – site based in Crewe (3 days per week), working from home (2 days per week).
  • Initially providing contractor-side quantity surveying services for a cycle path highways project.
  • Must have experience working in either highways sector or general civil engineering works.
The resource(s) providing the services will
  • Have a minimum of 18 months’ relevant experience.
  • Have an in depth understanding and experience of contractual and commercial processes.
  • Have contractor-side QS experience, taking responsibility for post-contract quantity surveyor activities.
  • Preferably have a degree or HND in a construction or quantity surveying related discipline.
  • Preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Institution or working towards membership.
  • Have a emerging working knowledge of NEC forms of contract (ideally PSC).
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Be client focused and able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Be a self-motivated team player that demonstrates excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Be flexible, positive and engaging, with a desire to learn and develop through exposure to different types of clients and projects.
Remuneration and benefits
  • Up to £45,000 salary (depending on experience/qualifications).
